Welches Profil bietet hohen Tragekomfort?

Yellow gold wedding rings
The classic color for wedding rings is yellow gold. It is the world's best-selling color for wedding rings and has a special warmth. Our rings made of yellow gold consist of fine gold, copper, and silver
What is an alloy?
What is an alloy?
The alloy describes the composition of the individual metals in a piece of jewelry. The specified fineness indicates how high the proportion of pure precious metal is. Important to know: Precious metal prices fluctuate daily.
Overview of gold alloys:
333/- Gold = 8 kt = 33.3% gold content
375/- Gold = 9 kt = 37.5% gold content
585/- Gold = 14 kt = 58.5% gold content
750/- Gold = 18 kt = 75% gold content
900/- Gold = 21 kt = 90% gold content
999/- Gold = 24 kt = 99.9% gold content
An example: A ring made of 585/- yellow gold contains 58.5% pure gold. The remaining 41.5% consists of other alloy metals.
High alloys such as 900/- or 999/- gold, i.e., nearly pure fine gold rings, are particularly in demand in countries such as India.
It is also interesting to look at the volume: Although a ring made of 585/- gold consists of 58.5% gold, the gold takes up less than half the volume in the ring. The reason for this is the high specific gravity of gold. Gold is significantly heavier than many other alloy metals and therefore requires less space in the material structure.
Is 585/- or 750/- more prone to scratches?
Is 585/- or 750/- more prone to scratches?
Both alloys develop roughly the same number of surface scratches over time. The claim that 750/- gold is significantly softer and therefore scratches more quickly is now considered outdated. Modern precious metals are highly compressed during ring manufacturing, making them more resistant.
A significant difference between the two alloys lies less in scratch susceptibility and more in the color tone.
Difference between 585/- and 750/- yellow gold
Difference between 585/- and 750/- yellow gold
A ring made of 750/- yellow gold has a more vibrant and intense gold tone. In comparison, 585/- yellow gold appears somewhat paler and less saturated in color.
In the image, you can see the color difference between both alloys. However, depending on the light, a gold tone can appear very different.
Note: Gold is not equal to gold. Each wedding ring manufacturer uses their own alloy compositions, which is why the color tones of 585/- and 750/- yellow gold can vary slightly depending on the manufacturer.
How much do 585/- yellow gold wedding rings cost on average?
How much do 585/- yellow gold wedding rings cost on average?
What do yellow gold wedding rings cost?
Wedding rings made of 585/- yellow gold are available from around €1,000. This price refers to a pair of rings and can vary depending on width, volume, design, and stone setting.
As with all precious metals, the price of gold wedding rings depends on the current gold price. Our configurator prices are therefore adjusted daily to the respective gold price.
Which yellow gold rings last the longest?
Which yellow gold rings last the longest?
Yellow gold rings in 585/- and 750/- are very suitable for daily and long-term wear. Rings in 333/- and 375/- gold, on the other hand, consist of a larger proportion of other metals and only a smaller proportion of gold. This can cause them to become more brittle over time and wear more heavily.
Our experience shows that rings with a low gold content develop signs of wear more quickly with daily wear. If you want to wear your rings for a lifetime, you should therefore not compromise on the alloy.
Which yellow gold alloy gets the least scratches?
Which yellow gold alloy gets the least scratches?
All yellow gold alloys develop approximately the same number of surface scratches and wear marks over time. The claim that 750/- gold is significantly softer and therefore scratches more quickly is now considered outdated.
Modern precious metals are highly compressed during ring manufacturing. As a result, high-quality yellow gold rings today are significantly more resistant than is often assumed.
Platinum wedding rings
Platinum is one of the rarest precious metals in the world and is significantly rarer than gold. In the jewelry sector, it is one of the most demanding precious metals to work with. Platinum is extremely robust, very dense, and heavier in relation to other precious metals. For example: A ring with a 4 mm width weighs approximately 4 g in 585/- gold. The identical ring can weigh almost twice as much in 950/- platinum. 950/- platinum is particularly suitable for allergy sufferers due to its high purity. Due to its high resistance, it is also less prone to scratches and dents.
Platinum rings have a particularly beautiful, natural silver-white color without requiring an additional rhodium layer. However, the most important reason for platinum's popularity is its exceptional material quality and durability.
Difference between 600/- and 950/- platinum
Difference between 600/- and 950/- platinum
Platinum is considered one of the most precious metals for wedding rings. In addition to the well-known 950/- alloy, 600/- platinum has also been offered in recent years. The designation indicates how high the platinum content in the ring is: 950/- platinum contains 95% pure platinum, while 600/- platinum has a content of 60%.
The other alloy components can be, for example, palladium, iridium, or tungsten. This results in significant differences between the two variants.
950/- platinum is the more precious alloy, while 600/- platinum is a more affordable alternative. There is also a difference in weight: the higher the platinum content, the heavier the ring. Additionally, 950/- platinum has a lighter and whiter color tone, while 600/- platinum appears more gray-white.
In terms of resistance, 950/- platinum also offers advantages. It is more scratch-resistant and is among the jewelry metals that remain particularly beautiful with daily wear over many years.
Both variants are popular choices among our customers as everyday jewelry.
How much do wedding rings made of platinum cost?
How much do wedding rings made of platinum cost?
A pair of rings made of 950/- platinum is available from around €1,000. The price is always in proportion to the amount of precious metal used — that is, how solid and heavy the rings are chosen to be.
Pairs of rings made of 600/- platinum are usually somewhat more affordable and are available from around €700.
Additionally, the price depends on how elaborate the design is and whether the rings are set with stones.

How long does a matte finish last on platinum wedding rings?
How long does a matte finish last on platinum wedding rings?
A matte finish is a surface treatment that changes over time with daily wear. Once the rings are worn and the first signs of wear appear, the matte surface gradually becomes shinier. This effect continues to increase over time.
It is impossible to say across the board how long a matte finish remains visible. This always depends on the individual wearer and the specific stress on the ring. Most of our customers notice significant changes after about six months.
It is best to view your rings not only as jewelry pieces but also as everyday items that accompany you on your finger every day.
Wear and shine marks appear on all matte rings from the first day. However, a simply matted platinum ring can be re-matted at any time with a matting sponge.
White gold or platinum: What is better?
White gold or platinum: What is better?
White gold and platinum are each offered in different alloys, meaning in different levels of value. For white gold, these are 333/-, 375/-, 585/-, and 750/- white gold. For platinum, 600/- and 950/- platinum are primarily common.
A key difference lies in weight: white gold is lighter than platinum. Whether this is perceived as an advantage depends on personal wearing comfort. Many customers particularly appreciate the solid and pleasantly heavy feel of platinum rings. This difference becomes particularly clear when comparing both variants directly on the finger.
With white gold, it is important to know that the rings are galvanically coated with rhodium. This so-called rhodium plating provides the intensely white color tone. Platinum, on the other hand, naturally has a cool, grayish-white color tone.
Through scratches and wear marks, the rhodium plating on white gold wears off over time. As a result, the rings can change color and do not remain as bright white as they were initially. However, they can be re-rhodiumed at any time.
This does not happen with platinum because the ring is completely made of the same material and does not require an additional coating. Therefore, no color change occurs.
Scratches and wear marks occur with both precious metals. However, since platinum is harder and more ductile, it is considered significantly more resistant. Additionally, white gold becomes thinner over the years through abrasion during wear. With platinum, on the other hand, the material tends to shift rather than be worn away. This results in minimal material loss and thus no significant weight loss — even after many years of wear.
Both precious metals are very suitable for rings that are worn daily over many years.
Advantages of platinum alloys
Advantages of platinum alloys
A major advantage of platinum rings is their permanent color stability. While scratches and wear marks also develop on platinum over time, the same precious metal is always found beneath the surface. Therefore, no color change occurs.
Additionally, it typically takes longer with platinum than with many other precious metals before noticeable signs of wear become visible. However, how pronounced these are always depends on the individual stress during wear.
Another advantage is that platinum experiences minimal material abrasion. The precious metal is particularly ductile and durable, so the material is shifted on the ring rather than worn away during wear. This results in virtually no significant weight loss.
Platinum rings also have a pleasant weight on the finger and are therefore a high-quality, durable companion for many years.
Are platinum wedding rings rhodium plated?
Are platinum wedding rings rhodium plated?
Platinum wedding rings at BREEDIA Jewelry are not rhodium plated. Platinum naturally has a bright, noble color tone that closely resembles the color tone of rhodium. Therefore, additional rhodium plating is not necessary.
Rhodium is primarily used with white gold to make the ring appear brighter and more valuable. Depending on the alloy, white gold naturally has a slightly yellowish or grayish undertone, which is covered by the rhodium layer.
Wedding Rings White Gold
Wedding rings made of white gold look particularly modern and elegant. Our models are made of gold, silver, and palladium. To give white gold rings their noble, bright, and almost chrome-like color tone, they are additionally rhodium plated. The rhodium layer optically brightens the material and also provides some protection against discoloration and abrasion. However, this layer wears off over time with daily wear, so the ring may gradually appear somewhat grayer. After about two years, it is therefore advisable to refresh the rhodium plating. White gold looks particularly beautiful on fair skin tones, where its cool shine is particularly striking.
What does rhodium-plated white gold mean?
What does rhodium-plated white gold mean?
To give white gold a beautiful, bright white color tone, it is galvanically coated with the precious metal rhodium. This process is called rhodium plating.
Without rhodium plating, white gold usually has a rather grayish color tone and is therefore also called gray gold. The rhodium layer makes the ring appear significantly brighter, cooler, and more radiant.
Since the rhodium plating can wear off through scratches and daily wear marks over time, it is advisable to have white gold rings re-rhodium plated regularly.
What does rhodium plated mean?
Rhodium plated means that a piece of jewelry has been coated with a fine layer of rhodium. Rhodium is a very bright, white-shining precious metal from the platinum group. It ensures that white gold appears particularly bright, high-quality, and cool white.
However, the rhodium layer is not permanent. Through everyday wear, it can gradually wear away. If the underlying color tone becomes visible, the ring can be re-rhodium plated and will regain its bright, shiny surface.
333, 585, or 750 white gold?
333, 585, or 750 white gold?
Visually, there is hardly any difference between the different white gold alloys as long as the rings are new. The reason for this is the rhodium plating: with every white gold ring, you first see the bright rhodium layer, which gives the ring its radiant white color tone.
For long-term wear, however, 585/- and 750/- white gold have proven to be more suitable. Due to the significantly higher fine gold content, these alloys offer better quality and value than 333/- or 375/- white gold.
333/- and 375/- white gold consist of a larger proportion of other metals and only a smaller proportion of gold. This can cause the rings to become more brittle over time and wear more heavily. Our experience shows that rings with a low gold content develop signs of wear more quickly with daily wear.
The alloys also differ in weight: the higher the fine gold content, the heavier and more valuable the ring feels.
What color is white gold?
What color is white gold?
White gold gets its intensely white color tone from the galvanic application of the precious metal rhodium. This process is called rhodium plating.
Without rhodium plating, white gold appears slightly grayish or yellowish depending on the alloy. The rhodium layer creates the bright, cool white tone that is typical for rhodium-plated white gold.

Note: For better presentation, both rings are matted.
What is white gold made of?
What is white gold made of?
You can get white gold wedding rings from us in four different alloys:
333/- white gold
375/- white gold
585/- white gold
750/- white gold
White gold consists of gold, silver, copper, and palladium. Depending on the alloy, the mixing ratio of the individual components differs.
750/- white gold has the highest gold content: this alloy consists of 75% fine gold.
Why is white gold more expensive than yellow gold?
Why is white gold more expensive than yellow gold?
White gold does not occur in this form in nature. Natural gold always has a yellow color tone. White gold is created through alloying, that is, by mixing gold with other metals such as palladium and silver.
Depending on the alloy, for example 585/- or 750/- white gold, the natural color tone of the ring can be slightly more yellowish or white. White gold typically gets its particularly bright white tone through additional rhodium plating.
White gold is often more expensive than yellow gold because the white gold alloy contains palladium. Palladium is a high-quality and costly precious metal that affects the price of a wedding ring accordingly.
Additionally, white gold is galvanically rhodium plated so that the ring gets its bright, cool white color tone. This elaborate work step is also an additional cost factor. Yellow gold, on the other hand, contains no palladium and does not need to be rhodium plated, which is why it is usually more affordable in price.

Rose Gold
The popularity of wedding rings made of rose gold is steadily increasing. This is not least because this warm color tone flatters almost every skin tone and has a particularly harmonious effect. Rose gold wedding rings consist of fine gold, an increased copper content, and silver. This special alloy creates the characteristic rose tone. Rose gold wedding rings look particularly beautiful in combination with a solitaire ring made of white gold.
Difference between 585/- and 750/- rose gold
Difference between 585/- and 750/- rose gold
585/- rose gold and 750/- rose gold are two different alloys. With 750/- rose gold, the ring consists of 75% fine gold, while with 585/- rose gold, the gold content is 58.5%.
Both alloys are combined with copper and silver, which creates different rose gold tones. 750/- rose gold typically appears more intense and reddish. Additionally, the ring is slightly heavier due to the higher gold content and higher specific weight.
In terms of wear marks and scratches, both alloys differ only slightly. Unfortunately, wear marks cannot be completely avoided on regularly worn rings.
How is rose gold composed?
How is rose gold composed?
Rose gold does not occur naturally in this form. The characteristic color tone is created through alloying, which means mixing gold, copper, and silver.
Depending on the alloy, usually 585/- or 750/- rose gold, the proportions of copper and silver change. This creates different rose gold tones — from delicate rosé to intense reddish.
Can wedding rings made of rose gold discolor?
Can wedding rings made of rose gold discolor?
No. High-quality rose gold rings do not discolor over time. They become neither more yellow nor more reddish, but retain their characteristic rose gold tone permanently.
Color difference red gold vs. rose gold
Color difference red gold vs. rose gold
Rose gold has a finer and more subtle reddish tone compared to red gold. This is created by adding copper to the gold alloy.
Red gold contains a significantly higher copper content and therefore appears much more intense and vibrant red.

5 Tips Before Buying
Tip 1: Purchase early
Purchase your wedding rings as early as possible. Ideally, you should have the finished rings in hand at least 8 weeks before the wedding. This leaves plenty of time to adjust the ring size if needed or to have an engraving added later. Particularly during the wedding season heading into summer, longer delivery times can occur.
Tip 2: Measure the correct hand
Make sure to determine the ring size on the hand where the wedding ring will be worn. This applies regardless of where you purchase your rings.
Tip 3: Plan a realistic budget
Plan a realistic budget for the purchase of your wedding rings. After all, the rings should accompany you for many years and be worn daily with a good feeling.
Tip 4: Pay attention to high wearing comfort
Make sure your rings have a comfortable wearing profile. The higher a ring is, the less comfortable it may feel in everyday life. Therefore, use our pre-configuration for the optimal ratio of height and width and check the "optimal" box.
Tip 5: Consider allergies to precious metals
If you are allergic to certain precious metals such as copper, you should choose gold or palladium rings only with special caution. To avoid allergic reactions in the long term, we recommend 950/- platinum.

How much should wedding rings cost?
How much should wedding rings cost?
For the purchase of your wedding rings, you should plan for approximately €1,000 to €2,000. In this price range, you will receive durable wedding rings that you can wear with pride for many years.
Per wedding ring, costs typically range from €500 to €1,000. The women's ring may be somewhat more expensive due to stone settings.
What price ranges are offered?
What price ranges are offered?
Our partner rings start at around €150 to €200 for a ring pair in silver. At the same time, you will find high-quality ring pairs in our shop for several thousand euros, or you can design your dream rings individually using our configurator.
Most of our customers choose rings in the price range between €1,000 and €2,000. Many place particular importance on solid craftsmanship, as the rings are to be worn daily over many years.
Lifespan of inexpensive wedding rings?
Lifespan of inexpensive wedding rings?
Inexpensive ring pairs are often made from silver. Since silver is a rather soft precious metal, it is only partially suitable for daily and long-term wear, as is common with wedding rings.
Gold, palladium, or platinum are generally better suited for this purpose, but are correspondingly higher in price. Basically, all rings change through everyday wear — no ring remains permanently like new.
How durable a ring is depends on the chosen precious metal, the craftsmanship, and the individual stress during wear.
Is 925/- silver suitable for long-term wear?
Is 925/- silver suitable for long-term wear?
Silver is a very soft precious metal and can tarnish over time. Within just 6 months, silver rings can show significant wear marks and scratches. Once the rhodium protective layer is worn away, the ring can become dark as silver oxidizes — similar to old silver cutlery.
If you are looking for rings for long-term daily wear, you should therefore only consider silver wedding rings with reservations. In terms of price, however, this inexpensive precious metal is virtually unbeatable.
Our experience shows that silver rings are often ordered as partner rings, worn temporarily, and later replaced with wedding rings made from higher-quality precious metals.
Who pays for the wedding rings?
Who pays for the wedding rings?
In most cases, engaged couples purchase and pay for their wedding rings themselves. Whether the costs are borne by the woman, the man, or jointly usually depends on the couple's personal household arrangement.
If the couple already maintains a joint household or uses a joint account, the costs for the wedding rings are often shared. If there is a sole earner, this person often pays for the rings in many cases.
Should the engagement ring be more expensive than the wedding ring?
Should the engagement ring be more expensive than the wedding ring?
The engagement ring is often more expensive than a single wedding ring. This is mainly because engagement rings are usually set with high-quality diamonds and designed to be more eye-catching overall.
Wedding rings, on the other hand, are worn for a lifetime and are therefore often kept simpler and more suitable for everyday wear. Accordingly, the costs per ring are often lower. However, if particular value is placed on high-quality precious metals, durable craftsmanship, or stone settings, wedding rings can also become significantly more expensive.
There is no fixed rule — what matters is always the material, design, craftsmanship, and personal wishes.

Meaning, Wearing & Combining
Why are wedding rings worn?
Why are wedding rings worn?
Wedding rings are a symbol of fidelity, love, and permanence. Their closed form, which has neither beginning nor end, stands for the infinity of love between two partners.
Difference between wedding rings and engagement ring?
Difference between wedding rings and engagement ring?
The engagement ring is traditionally worn by only one partner, usually the woman. The proposer purchases the ring secretly and presents it during the proposal. If the proposal is accepted, the engagement ring is placed on the left ring finger.
Wedding rings, on the other hand, are usually selected together before the wedding and worn by both partners. Compared to the often more elaborate engagement ring, wedding rings are usually simpler in design and are worn on the right ring finger.

Combining the wedding ring with the engagement ring?
Combining the wedding ring with the engagement ring?
It often happens that the engagement ring is to be worn together with the wedding ring on the same finger. When purchasing the engagement ring, you should already consider whether it will be suitable for this later. The setting for the stone/stones should not be too "bulbous" so that the rings lie nicely flush against each other, so that both rings on the finger appear as one unit and no unsightly gap forms between them.

High-quality processed alloys are best suited. For white gold, yellow gold, and rose gold, a 750 alloy is recommended; for platinum, a 950 alloy.
Allergy sufferers typically do not react to the precious metal itself, but to the other metals with which the precious metal is alloyed.

What are the advantages of laser engravings?
What are the advantages of laser engravings?
With laser engraving, the engraving is burned into the wedding rings. The laser vaporizes the metal at the engraving point, creating a very fine engraving. This usually stands out in a dark contrast from the precious metal and is therefore often more legible than an engraving made with a diamond.
With the appropriate engraving template, laser engraving can also be used to engrave individual symbols, your own handwriting, or other personal motifs.

Laser Engraving
Laser engraving is burned in contactlessly with a laser. It is very precise and is well suited for fine fonts, symbols, or more complex motifs. Depending on the material, it may appear somewhat darker or more contrasting.
Diamond engraving
With diamond engraving, the surface is mechanically scratched with a fine diamond tip. This creates a classic, very durable engraving with a slightly perceptible indentation. It looks particularly high-quality and traditional.
The engraving of your wedding rings is free of charge with us. If you would like to try on your rings at home first, we also offer free engraving of your wedding rings afterwards. Up to 25 characters fit in the engraving field. To personalize your engraving, you can choose between script and block letters and add special characters and symbols. In addition to the classic diamond engraving, we also offer laser engravings depending on the model. With many ring models, it is also possible to have your fingerprint engraved or to create an engraving based on your individual template.
